MATCH REPORT:
A
great day at the Uni oval for Trolley's 200th with seniors completing the
treble. DOSA had a good start with an accurate first quarter and led by three
goals at quarter time. Goal for goal saw the same margin at half time. We led
the accuracy stakes during the premiership quarter and levelled the scores by
three quarter time setting the scene for a cracker of a last quarter. Great game
of footy with Uni running out victors by 21 points. Glov and Neo provided the
spark up forward and Blaze and Trolley solid in the midfield. Great to see
Cheese involved on the ground and Adam played his best game for the year. Marto,
Fogs and Blake were solid on the backline.
Thankyou to Zac, Lachie and Connah back running water
and chasing footballs behind the goals.

MATCH REPORT:
We knew DOSA would come to play
and they led at each change . Mistakes by us made matters worse and it was not
until the last quarter we clicked and outscored DOSA 5 goals to two winning by
17 points. Connor Berry led from the front in the ruck, in the air and when the
ball hit the ground with Baxter superior around the ground and finished with a
great goal from the cricket nets pocket. Jimmy Cummins, Oli, Dave Charlton and
Rip provided highlights in defence and on the wing. Ned ( after Steff took time
out on Thursday night to tutor him on the art of goalkicking) did not let us
down up forward with a couple of goals.
Let's keep building, as a game like this one saw some
great play, but also showed us areas we need to work on.
R6 Women : 11.11 (077) d
Lauderdale 01.04 (010)
We had two more debutantes, Bella
Shannon and Bella Johnson, who both played excellent games which again
highlights the depth of the Rainbow squad!
The ladies played a solid four
quarter effort and fought hard at every contest, all over the ground. Remie had
a strong physical game up forward kicking 3, supported by Ellie, Bella, Sophie,
Jas, Bec and Olly all hitting the scoreboard too, further demonstrating that we
are not reliant on one or two of our team mates to score.
Our mids played
some of their best footy in 2021 with wonderful set ups and smart rucking from
Maggie and Lauren. Our skip Sam played a level headed role all day.
Our backs
held strong all day led by Mik, Sarah and Annie.
Bec, Sophie and Anna played
some of their best footy, highlighting their individual improvements, they
should be very proud of their efforts!
Next week we take on Huonville at home
for our clubs 50th game in the SFLW, which is a tremendous milestone for all
that have contributed to our women’s program across the past 4 seasons. All of
us at the TUFC thank each and every one of you for being part of our journey and
for shaping our future!
